Director dream hampton talks about her documentary "It Was All A Dream," which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. The film includes never-before-seen footage from hip hop's golden era, the 1990s. hampton, who directed Lifetime's Peabody Award-winning "Surviving R. Kelly" docuseries, had her camera rolling on rappers like The Notorious B.I.G. during their casual moments in and out of the studio. hampton explains how she found the footage and reflects back on the genre 30 years later.
