Passionate teenage innovators from around the world create cutting-edge solutions to confront the world's environmental threats-found right in their own backyards-while navigating the doubts and insecurities that mark adolescence in "Inventing Tomorrow," a new documentary from POV. In this exclusive clip for Salon, watch these inspiring teens prepare their projects for the largest convening of high school scientists in the world: the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
Directed by Laura Nix, "Inventing Tomorrow" has its national broadcast debut on the PBS documentary series POV and pov.org on Monday, July 29 at 10 p.m. ET (check local listings). The film was an official selection at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
"POV" is American television's longest-running independent documentary series now in its 32nd season. The award-winning "POV" (a cinema term for "point of view") series is the longest-running showcase on television to feature the work of America's best contemporary-issue independent filmmakers.
